Reclaimed Memories

Reclaimed Memories is pretty little guitar piece from The Last of Us Part II soundtrack by Gustavo Santaolalla. The signature of this score is Santaolalla’s use of a 6 string guitar banjo. It was very easy to transfer this song to guitar — as the instruments are played and tuned exactly the same.

Notice how Santaolalla operates in short bursts of playing between space. I believe it’s this style of play that makes his music so compelling for film scores.

How to play Reclaimed Memories by Gustavo Santaolalla

The bar chords will be slightly tricky for novice players.
