Evan Handyside is a self-employed guitar teacher in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania with 25 years experience. He has also performed throughout the Northeast as the bass player for the Pittsburgh-based Atl-Rock band, New Invisible Joy. The band has released four albums on their indie-label, Goldwish records.

As a member of New Invisible Joy, Evan opened for numerous national artists like John Mayer, The Killers, Rufus Wainwright, Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic, and many more.  He has also performed on television, radio, and at major-label showcases.  New Invisible Joy’s second EP was recorded in New York city with major-label producer/engineer Ed Tuton (Lenny Kravitz).

Currently, Evan lives in the South Hills of Pittsburgh with his wife Jennifer, son Matthew (and dog, Luna). He continues to run a successful teaching business while pursuing compelling, modern content for guitar.

Currently Evan’s YouTube channel has over 22,000 subscribers and nearly 7 million views.

Evan recently wrote the score for the short film, Broken Noons, by Mexican director, Guillermo L. Vasquez.

Evan is also a Cordoba Guitars brand ambassador.
