Salvatore

Salvatore is from Lana Del Rey’s 2015 album, Honeymoon. The melancholy pop ballad has a very “Italian” quality to it. The song worked out beautifully for guitar, and was a recommendation from one of my YouTube Listeners. It is Lana’s Del Rey’s usual crooning vocals with incredible lyrics; giving the sense of a young girl swept up in a romance with a foreign man.

I am continually amazed by Lana’s persona — and her ability to create music, over and over again, that constructs and deepens her identity. She’s hit upon this unmistakable style. We all know what it is, but there’s no word for it. It’s even difficult to explain.
