A Time of Quiet Between the Storms
After completion of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune in 2021, Hans Zimmer, was still inspired and continued writing music. This led to the piece, A Time of Quiet Between the Storms. Zimmer tours extensively, bringing his film music to audiences all over the world. Hundreds of thousands of people have already heard this tune, as he used this “mystery” piece to open his shows.
Now that Dune: Part Two is released, “all will be revealed” as Hans Zimmer mentioned on Instagram.
As for the song, it’s vintage Hans Zimmer — like something from Gladiator. He has a way of keeping a consistent melody, and slightly altering to chord progression underneath. A very elegant move and something I’d like to incorporate in my own writing.
