Theme for a Father Lost at Sea

This piece is from Netflix’s Outer Banks, Season 3. The composer is Fil Eisler. It’s a beautiful, cinematic guitar piece that found it’s way onto my Spotify recommendation’s. While the beginning of the passage is relatively simple, and picks some low hanging fruit — the end of the phrase has some really sophisticated riffs.

This is an excellent etude for beginner and intermediate guitar players. The idea is: practicing something that’s musical and short in duration, will help you build skill and your overall capacity on guitar.

I’ve also done the Outer Banks Midsummers (guitar theme). I think it’s super obscure — but fans of the show seem to love it, with nearly 1 million plays on Spotify alone. It’s crazy — a weird guitar thing, from a show I’ve never seen, is responsible for 99% of my streaming listenership.
