Phew, it’s been real serious around this blog for a few weeks. Time for some levity.

My wife and I have been plowing through The Office, and I think we’re in season 7 right now. All of my younger guitar students had been imploring me to watch it. The Office turned out to be just the right thing for us to watch when I get home late from work — and I just don’t have the stamina to get into a Netflix series, etc.

How to play The Office Theme for guitar

(Note: This is my premium material. Please join my email list to be updated on all of my latest guitar tabs.)

The guitar tab for The Office is beautifully written across only one page. In accordance with the guitar tab, you’ll play the: Intro 2x, and the Verse 4x.

I recommend this piece for intermediate guitar players and up.

Enjoy, the guitar tab is available below:

The Office is played in an Open E minor tuning. If you’re playing *without a capo you’re tuning will be E B E G B E. However this requires you to tune you 4th and 5th strings up one whole step.

I much prefer to tune my guitar one whole step down with the exception of the 4th and 5th strings. Then I capo the 2nd fret. My tuning looks like this: D A D F A D. Then I apply a capo to the 2nd fret.
