Video Games

I’ve always loved the song, Video Games by Lana Del Rey. With her usual deft lyricism and poetry — Lana sings about the relationship she has versus the relationship she fantasizes. It’s all stylized with her signature ‘longing in California’ vibe.

Composer Ramin Djawadi further exposed the beauty of this melody when he covered Video Games as an instrumental for Westworld Season 4.

How to play Video Games | fingerstyle guitar

The guitar tab for Video games is beautifully written across 2 pages. I recommend this piece for intermediate guitar players and up. Enjoy, the guitar tab is available below:

My song structure looks like this, in accordance with the guitar tab:

Intro, Verse 2x, Verse Change 2x,

Pre Chorus, Chorus 2x, Chorus End

Intro (Line 1),

Verse 2x, Verse Change 2x,

Pre Chorus, Chorus 2x, Chorus End

Intro (as outro)

This piece is tuned very low, at a full step and a 1/2 down. Here’s how it looks, from low to high: C# F# B E G# C#

However, you don’t have to tune that low. One full step down works great: D G C F A D. Even standard tuning (E A D G B E) sounds good.
