Superman
On Monday 12/16/24 James Gunn released a graphic on Instagram announcing the Superman (2025) trailer. Within the graphic there’s an ethereal and slightly Celtic version of John Williams’ original theme. I thought I was beautiful, and immediately grabbed my guitar to create a fingerstyle arrangement.
The Christopher Reeve on-screen depiction of Superman (1978) is indelible from my childhood. Coupled with the musical score by John Williams, I became a massive fan of the character when I was just 4 years-old.
In the modern era, I thought Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel was just amazing. I was really looking forward to him continuing the role of Superman, and felt bad when he was shut out. That being said, I am excited to see what James Gunn and David Corenswet do with the character. The guy certainly looks the part!
