Superman
In December 2024, James Gunn posted a graphic on Instagram announcing the Superman (2025) trailer. The audio featured an ethereal, slightly Celtic reimagining of John Williams’ original theme. I thought it was stunning, and I immediately grabbed my guitar to start working on a fingerstyle arrangement.
Christopher Reeve’s portrayal of Superman in the 1978 film is an indelible part of my childhood. Combined with that iconic John Williams score, I became a massive fan of the character when I was only four years old.
In the modern era, I thought Henry Cavill’s Man of Steel was just amazing. I was really looking forward to seeing him continue in the role and felt for him when things didn’t pan out. That being said, David Corenswet certainly looks the part!
