Man of Steel

The title of this piece is: What Are You Going to Do When You're Not Saving the World? It's otherwise known as the title theme of Man of Steel, by composer Hans Zimmer. I performed this on YouTube (and this blog) way back in 2012. It was time for an upgraded performance, as this is some of Hans Zimmer's best music ever.

Superman is my favorite comic book super-hero. I love the Christ-like story of the Man of Steel. Dig this quote from the film:

"You will give the people of earth and ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble . . . they will fall. But in time they will join you in the sun Kal . . . In time, you'll help them accomplish wonders."  - Jor-El (Superman's father)

I feel this stretch of music totally embodies that quote; tender but powerful.

Gear used

For Man of Steel, I used my Cordoba C7 Cedar. It's a warm and dark sounding guitar that's relatively inexpensive. You can find a complete list of my gear here.

The guitar tab for Man of Steel, is beautifully written across three pages. It's relatively easy to play, and I recommend this piece for intermediate guitar players.

I hope you enjoy playing this piece as much as I do! The guitar tab is available below:
