Man of Steel

The title of this piece is: What Are You Going to Do When You’re Not Saving the World? It’s otherwise known as the title theme of Man of Steel. I believe this is some of Hans Zimmer’s greatest music — and one of my best fingerstyle arrangements.

Superman is my favorite comic book super-hero. I love the Christ-like story of the Man of Steel. Here’s a beautiful quote from the film:

“You will give the people of earth and ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble . . . they will fall. But in time they will join you in the sun Kal . . . In time, you’ll help them accomplish wonders.”  – Jor-El (Superman’s father)

I feel this stretch of music totally embodies that quote; tender but powerful.

The guitar tab for Man of Steel, is beautifully written across three pages. It’s relatively easy to play, and I recommend this piece for intermediate guitar players. I hope you enjoy playing this piece as much as I do!
