Johann Johannsson
This is my tribute to the late, Johann Johannsson (The Theory of Everything, Sicario). He was one of — if not the greatest living composer. His music was all at once: aching, melancholy, and extraordinary progressive. Johann’s passing is a major loss for film, the modern classical community, and music in general.
The Sun’s Gone Dim and Sky’s Turned Black is a solo piece by Johann from 2006.

How to play, The Sun’s Gone Dim and Sky’s Turned Black, by Johann Johannsson
The Sun’s Gone Dim and Sky’s Turned Black can be characterized as easy to play. It’s a long piece of music but — there are no difficult chords shapes, and your fingers will never leave the first 3 frets. Even still, I find this better suited to intermediate guitar players and up.
The guitar tab is beautifully and spaciously written across 3 pages. My order of play (in accordance with the guitar tab) goes like this:
Verse 2x, Chorus, Post Chorus — Verse 2x (begin at return), Chorus — Outro (take care to repeat sections as indicated), Outro continued.

The Sun’s Gone Dim and Sky’s Turned Black is played one 1/2 step down. Your tuning is as follows from low to high: Eb Ab Db Gb Bb Eb. Or, depending on your tuner: D# G# C# F# A# D#.
My Cordoba C7 is tuned one whole step down (D G C F A D) with a capo on the 1st fret — thus achieving the tuning indicated above.
