Uninvited

I know, this was an odd choice for me. However, having worked out this rendition for a guitar student -- I just had to post it on on this blog -- it turned out great.

City of Angels (Nick Cage, Meg Ryan) is one of those late 90's films when Nick Cage was the biggest star in Hollywood. Although he had a fall from grace (no pun intended) Cage is still doing some great work in between B movies, namely the films: Joe and Mandy.

Alanis Morissette was also the biggest alternative rock act in the mid-late 90's. In the states, Radiohead opened for her during their (The) Bends tour if you can believe that! I literally had to go to an Alanis Morissette show to see Radiohead.

Gear Used

For Uninvited, I used my Taylor GS Mini-E (Walnut). The GS Minis are fantastic little guitars with big sound. You can find a current list of my gear here.

Uninvited may seem relatively easy to play, but there's a lot going on, and I recommend it for intermediate guitar players and up.

The guitar tab is beautifully written across two pages. My order of play, in accordance with the guitar tab looks like this: Intro, Verse 1 (2x), Chorus 1 -- Verse 2 (2x), Chorus 2 -- Verse 2 (2x), Chorus 2, End. Pretty simple.

In the guitar tab you'll notice four dots ( . . . .) trailing some of the chords. That simply indicates to strum the chord four times. It looks cleaner on the tab - than writing a chord four times in a row.

Enjoy, the guitar tab is available below:
