Adagio in C Minor

HBO’s Succession has definitely been on my list to watch. A friendly listener suggested Impromptu No. 1 from the soundtrack of Season 3. I had no idea the classically inspired music was from composer, Nicholas Britell. He’s one of my all time favorite musicians.

Impromptu No. 1 is a piano variation of Adagio in C Minor; the principle motif from the series. I split the difference for my guitar arrangement, combining elements from both.

My tuning is actually Open F (from low to high): C F C F A C.

You don’t have to tune this low. You can get the same effect by using Open G (from low to high): D G D G B D. It will just sound one whole step higher.
