Her Life Was Over, by Gustavo Santaolalla, is a short fingerstyle motif from the soundtrack of Wild Life. This film is a documentary about life of Doug Tompkins (founder of North Face) and his wife, Kris. Although the documentary is not widely known, the guitar forward soundtrack from Gustavo Santaolalla (and Jaun Luqui) is excellent.

I really love the short cues that Santaolalla implements in his film scores. For beginner guitar players, they double as an étude: a short musical composition, typically for one instrument, designed as an exercise to improve the technique or demonstrate the skill of the player.
