“Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind, And therefore is winged Cupid painted blind. Nor hath Love’s mind of any judgment taste; Wings and no eyes figure unheedy haste.”

― William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Fall is heading our way, and I wanted to write a haunting piece. I’ve recently been inspired by the music of Abel Korzeniowski. Specifically, Table For Two from Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals.

The last “haunting” piece I wrote was entitled Only Ghosts. It ended up being oddly popular on YouTube and on SoundCloud.

How to play A Winged Cupid Painted Blind | fingerstyle guitar

The guitar tab for Winged Cupid is beautifully written across three pages. I recommend this piece for intermediate guitar players and up.

On page one of the tab, you’ll see the first section is characterized as the “main” passage. My order of play looks like this, in accordance with the guitar tab:

Main, #1 – Main, #2 – Main, #3 – Main, #4 – Chorus 2x, Post Chorus

Main, #1 – Main, #2 – Main, #3 – Main, #4 – Chorus 2x, Post Chorus

End 2x
