Hell or High Water
Hell or High Water is a 2016 American neo-Western crime thriller film directed by David Mackenzie and written by Taylor Sheridan. The film follows two brothers (Chris Pine and Ben Foster) who carry out a series of bank robberies to save their family ranch, while being pursued by two Texas Rangers (Jeff Bridges and Gil Birmingham).
It’s a badass movie (99% on Rotten Tomatoes) and I’m currently obsessing over Taylor Sheridan’s films: Sicario, Hell or High Water, and Wind River.
I’ve also arranged some themes from Wind River.
Gear Used
For Texas Midlands I used my Cordoba GK Studio. It’s truly my best sounding guitar. You can find a current list of my gear here.

Like Wind River, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis have also done the soundtrack. The music in Hell or high Water, is like a creeping dread. There’s often a solitary violin (or piano) playing the desperate melody — while a droning note, more like locusts buzzing, constantly hums beneath.
The main theme from Hell or High Water is called, Texas Midlands, and it’s very easy to play. This is a perfect song for beginner guitar players.
