Zambita is pretty tune by Gustavo Santaolalla from The Motorcycle Diaries soundtrack. Although it’s played on a lightly distorted electric guitar, Zambita also sounds great on any acoustic guitar.

Like much of Gustavo Santaolalla’s film score work, Zambita is a fun, dynamic, and doable song to play on guitar.

Gear Used

For Zambita, I used my heavily modded Eric Clapton Strat; I had the pickups replaced with MojoTone 58 QuietCoils. My amp is a Vox AC10 with a Walrus Audio Warhorn pedal for low to medium distortion and compression. You can find a list of all of my gear here.

Zambita is immensely fun to play, and a very doable song for intermediate level guitar players.

The guitar tab is two pages long and beautifully written. My order of play, in accordance with the guitar tab, goes like this:¬† Verse 2x, Chorus #1 Chorus #2 — Verse 1x, Chorus #2.

Enjoy, the guitar tab is available below:

Zambita is played in standard tuning.
