Deadwood

Deadwood was an American Western HBO series (2004-2006) set in Deadwood South Dakota. The series starred Timothy Olyphant and Ian McShane — whose acting reached a zenith with Deadwood. His performance is amazing.

I dig the main title theme and I wanted to flesh it out on guitar. I was doing everything from steel-string acoustic to slide guitar. In the end it settled on a finger-style arrangement on one of my classical guitars.

The guitar tab for this piece is beautifully written across 3 pages. I especially like the sound of the Eastern/Gypsy end section. I recommend this for intermediate to advanced guitar players.
