Touch of the Sun
127 Hours is the story of Aron Ralston, who survived a canyoneering accident by cutting off his own arm after being trapped for 5 days. The film stars James Franco (as Ralston) and is based on the Aron’s book, Between a Rock and a Hard Place.
127 Hours is beautifully directed by Danny Boyle and still has a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. If you’re squeamish, not to worry. The eventual “arm scene” is not as brutal as you might think, and you’ll be caught up in the harrowing adventure of this man’s transformation and survival.
The music is by Indian music producer A.R. Rahman. I was attracted to the sparse Touch of the Sun guitar line because it sounds like something that composer Gustavo Santaolalla (Brokeback Mountain) might do.
This was one of the first songs I posted in 2011. I still love it and it was time for a refresh.

How to play Touch of the Sun | fingerstyle guitar
This is a very sparse and slow guitar line. I think it’s perfect for beginner and intermediate guitar players. The guitar tab is beautifully written across two pages. Enjoy, the guitar tab is available below:
You’ll begin with the intro, then play the verse twice.
