Love is in the Air, Pt.1
I love this piece from the film Obsession; a movie made on a shoestring budget ($750,000) and grossing nearly 200 million globally. I don’t expect Hollywood to draw any correct conclusions from this, but it would seem original storytelling — not CGI or AI — is what audiences want. Something real in a world where everything is increasingly fake.
Love is in the Air, Pt. 1 is from composer Rock Burwell (no relation to Carter Burwell). It’s a beautifully serene and mellow piece — much like “Handprint” from Backrooms, there’s nothing in the music alluding to the horror of the film, or the rot beneath the surface of the story.
This worked out great as a stand-alone fingerstyle arrangement. I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I do.
My version of “Love is in the Air, Pt.1” will be available on Spotify and all streaming soon.

The guitar tab for this piece is beautifully written across 2 pages. You’ll take care to play the first stanza 2x. This is relatively easy to play, and great for beginner guitar players and up.
