Free MP3 download on SoundCloud

In my opinion, Cephale is the title theme of Papillon. The score, by composer David Buckley, is gorgeous and makes heavy use choral music using both child and adult choirs.

[Going forward, the music on this blog will be available on SoundCloud as a free MP3 download. Listening is a highly underrated form of practice. I would encourage you to download whatever song you might be practicing and listen to it as much as possible. Playing the piece will then become a forgone conclusion.]

How to play Cephale for classical guitar

(Note: This is my premium material. Please join my email list to be updated on all of my latest guitar tabs.)

Cephale is relatively easy to play as the chord shapes aren’t to difficult. The guitar tab is beautifully written across two pages. Here’s my order of play — in accordance with the guitar tab: Section (1) 2x, Interlude 1 — Section (2) 2x, Interlude 2 — Section (1) 2x, Interlude 1.

That’s it, pretty simple arrangement. I hope you enjoy playing Cephale as much as I did.

The guitar tab is available below:

Cephale is played in a drop high E tuning with a capo on the 3rd fret. Here’s your tuning from low to high: E A D G B *D. You’ll then place a capo on the 3rd fret.
