The Night Window
1917 is an epic war film directed and produced by Sam Mendes. The film is based on an account told to Mendes by his paternal grandfather, Alfred. It chronicles the mission of two young British soldiers (World War I, 1917) who must deliver a message warning of an impending ambush.
Thomas Newman is one of the greatest living American composers. He is most famous for: The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, The Green Mile, Road to Perdition, Skyfall, and many more classic film scores of the modern era.
I loved this wondrous piece of music from 1917. It’s not an exact translation to guitar — as I prefer to create my own arrangements. However, I captured all main motifs into a workable fingerstyle guitar piece.

The guitar tab for The Night Window is beautifully written across 3 pages. I recommend this song for intermediate guitar players and up. The difficulty (and beauty) in this song come from the relentless arpeggios. I hope you enjoy playing this. The guitar tab is available below:
This piece is played straight through from start to finish. You’ll repeat the End section twice, as indicated in the guitar tab.
