More Hearts Than Mine

“More Hearts Than Mine” by Ingrid Andress is an emotionally vulnerable song about (the delicate balance of) introducing a new love into your family’s life. Her lyrics paint a vivid picture of the anxieties and hopes that come with this stage of a relationship. It highlights the fear of heartbreak, not just for yourself, but for your family too.

I think More Hearts Than Mine is a charming and perfect song; both lyrically and melodically. I’ve been teaching this song to my guitar students for awhile now. The tune gives you an abundance of folksy melody, and knew a fingerstyle version would sound great.
