American Primeval
American Primeval is an incredible Netflix (Western) miniseries. It takes place in 1857 during the Utah War. The show examines the fight to gain control of the Utah territory — and the violent clash between the LDS Church, native tribes, settlers, and the United States American military.
American Primeval stars Taylor Kitsch, and it’s one of THE BEST series I’ve ever watched on Netflix. The music is from the instrumental indie-rock band, Explosions in The Sky. Coincidentally, they also did the soundtrack for Lone Survivor (also starring Kitsch).
One of the concluding tracks in American Primeval is “This Land”; originally written by Woody Guthrie in 1940.
