Sweater Weather

My wife and I were in fertility treatments in late 2013 and most of 2014. There was a point (in the treatment) where we were driving out the facility every other day. At that time, Sweater Weather was the number one song on Alternative Nation (SiriusXM), we heard it almost every morning.

It was such a nerve-racking and anxious time for us. I remember be annoyed that this song was in constant rotation on Alt Nation. Nothing seemed to be working, and in July of 2014 we decided to take a break from the fertility treatments for 6 months; our doctor agreed.

We arrived home from our final appointment, and for some reason Jennifer decided to take one last pregnancy test. She was 2 weeks pregnant with our son Matthew. He’s now 10 years old :)

So…I now love Sweater Weather and this song is a constant reminder of (what turned out to be) the greatest moment of our lives.

My arrangement is tuned in a Drop C tuning: C G C F A D. However, you can just as easily play this piece in a standard Drop D tuning: D A D G B E.
