Resolve

This piece is from the HBO Max series, The Last of Us (season 1). The series is directly based on the iconic PlayStation game where —  in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by a fungal pandemic, Joel, a hardened smuggler, is tasked with escorting Ellie, a 14-year-old girl who is immune to the infection, across the United States. The Last of Us HBO brilliantly casts stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.

The series also reprises guitarist/composer Gustavo Santaolalla for the soundtrack. “Resolve” is a variation of the song “Allowed to Be Happy” from The Last of Us Part II game soundtrack. In this variation, Gustavo Santraolalla is employing a 6 string banjo (strung like a guitar with regular tuning).
