It used to be, in the early days of this blog, I would routinely perform Lana Del Rey’s music. At the time, she was the only stylistically (and melodically) compelling artist. Her music worked perfectly through the filter of my single acoustic guitar.

Then Billie Eilish came along and changed the game in every sense. At the time of this writing, she’s a mere 18 years old and has been a superstar for at least 2 years. The alt-pop music that she (and her brother, Finneas) create is mindblowingly good from every measure: musicality, production, lyrics, etc.…
