glen is alive

*Spoiler Alert* If you’re not caught up on The Walking Dead episode 607 entitled Heads Up, you may not want to read below.

I’m not sure what the statute of limitations is on spoilers, but if you’re reading this, chances are you’ve heard this music, and you know that Glenn indeed survived.

Normally I’m careful not to reveal pivotal moments of television shows, but this one was so obvious. Most people called it as I saw it: Nicholas conveniently fell on top of Glenn, where the Zombies feasted on his entrails rather than Glenn’s. Glenn would then shimmy under the dumpster and wait out the “herd”.

When the show revealed that Glenn was alive in episode 607, Heads Up, they used some really great music to emphasize that scene. The scene opens up with a synthesized chord progression — then into a neat minimalist guitar line when Glenn leaves his temporary prison under the dumpster. I guess we’ll call that guitar line, Heads Up.

How to play Heads Up for from The Walking Dead episode 607

Not much to say about this guitar tab. Heads Up is played in standard tuning, and is very easy to play. I’m always excited to find legitimate material that beginners can play, and Heads Up is one of those pieces.

I sometimes didn’t articulate the slide effect (symbolized with a / ) in the guitar tab. This is because if you just target the notes with the same finger — the slide effect just sort of happens.

Heads Up is played in standard tuning. Enjoy, the guitar tab is available below:
