In the Season of Hope

I’m very excited to see The Man Who Invented Christmas. The closing theme, In the Season of Hope, by composer Mychael Danna, really resonated with me.

Above all, I’m obsessed with the flow of every piece I do. In the Season of Hope jumps key signatures in a few sections which disrupted the natural flow of chord shapes and open strings on the guitar.

I played my arrangement in the same key, while discarding the ending in favor of repeating some sections that I thought sounded beautiful on guitar. I think it flows seamlessly.

Though it may look sophisticated — this turned out to be a very doable classical guitar/fingerstyle piece for intermediate guitar players.

As mentioned above, this arrangement is very doable for intermediate level guitar players. It may look and sound sophisticated but there’s nothing here that would be a road block for less experienced players.

The guitar tab is beautifully written across (only) two pages. My order of play looks like this, in accordance with the guitar tab: Intro, Verse, Chorus, Post Chorus — Verse, Chorus, End.

Enjoy. The guitar tab is available below:
