Hawkins
Hawkins, Indiana — the setting of Stranger Things — is actually a fictional small town invented by the show’s creators, the Duffer brothers.
In development, the series was originally to be called Montauk, a real-life coastal town on Long Island, New York — and the spiritual setting of Stephen Spielberg’s Jaws.
Though Jaws was filmed in Martha’s Vineyard, the setting was the fictional town of Amity, Long Island — which was based on the look and feel of Montauk.
I completely get the Duffer brothers on their original intent for Stranger Things. I love Jaws, and everytime I watch it, I imagine what it would be like to have grown up in that coastal location.
However, logistically the Duffers decided to go with the fictional town (land-locked) town of Hawkins, Indiana. Which, I believe, is a tip of the hat to Haddonfield, Illinois — the setting of Halloween.

Walkin in Hawkins is the very first of 45 songs on the huge The Stranger Things 2 soundtrack. It’s a literally a motherload of John Carpenter-esque synth.
On guitar, Walkin in Hawkins is very easy to play. The guitar tab is only a single page, and beautifully written. My order of play, in accordance with the guitar tab is: Intro 2x, Main 4x, End.

Walkin Hawkins is played in an Open Eb tuning. My tuning looks like this from low to high: D# A# D# G A# D#. Or depending on your tuner: Eb Bb Eb G Bb Eb. Oddly, every string is tuned differently except for the 3rd string (G).
