Lost in Space

Lost in Space (Netflix) is a GREAT series, and family friendly too. It’s a reimagining of the 1965 series of the same name, that follows the brave and hyper-intelligent Robinson family after they’ve crash landed on the wrong planet. Joining the family is a mysterious robot/alien whose intentions aren’t quite clear at the outset.

The score from Lost In Space (Christopher Lennertz) is just as good as the show. The music is big and bold, like a John Williams/Spielberg score.

How to play the Lost in Space | fingerstyle guitar

This is really the End Credits theme of Lost in Space, but for me, it’s the standout motif from the score. I would qualify this as best for intermediate guitar players and up.

The guitar tab for Lost in Space is only two pages long, and you’ll take care to repeat the section in the |: brackets :| twice. The repeated section is my favorite part of the piece.

Enjoy, the guitar tab is available below:

Lost in Space is played in an open E tuning. Here’s how we do that without breaking strings. You’ll tune your guitar like this, from low to high: D A D F# A D, then you’ll place a capo on the 2nd fret.

With the capo on, your tuning will now look like this: E B E G# B E — which is an Open E tuning.

*If your guitar does not have a cutaway to access the higher frets, you’ll just tune your guitar, from low to high: E B E G# B E. Just take care not break any strings as you’re tuning up.
