In the Heart of the Sea

The White Whale Chant, by composer Roque Banos, is from Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea. This song is very reminiscent of something composer Hans Zimmer would do. Zimmer has previously worked with Ron Howard on Rush and you can find my theme for that song here.

Roque Banos, is a Spanish composer who is mostly known for dark thriller movies — and a couple of independent films (The Machinist, Sexy Beast) but dark nonetheless. Having listened to the score for In the Heart of the Sea, you could easily mistake it for a Hans Zimmer score as it’s that good.
