game of thrones season 7

[Don’t worry, no spoilers]

Truth

Not sure what the statute of limitations is on spoilers, but the “big reveal” from Game of Thrones Season 7, episode 7 was made obvious from fan theories several years ago. I walked into a local guitar shop, where I guy named Barry told me about this in 2014!

I’ve just been waiting for the show to bring it into fruition.

As always, the music by composer Ramin Djawadi is a perfect fit. Known as Truth, from the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale, the music encompasses what exactly what Tyrion is thinking as the show exits with his distressed look.

Truth is not too major, or too minor. The music imbues a sense of caution and uncertainty, and (to me) that is what Tyrion’s “look” expresses.

Gear Used

I used my Cordoba C7 for Truth. I keep this guitar strung with Savarez Yellow Card strings for songs with low, alternate tunings. The strings are super high tension so the guitar still performs normally. Cordoba is so good at making nylon string guitars, that even a modest model like the C7 sounds amazing.  You can find a current list of my gear here.

How to play Truth, by Ramin Djawadi

(Note: This is my premium material. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel, or click here to be updated on all of my latest guitar tabs.)

Truth is relatively easy to play. The slow tempo makes it a perfect song for beginner guitar players to practice their chords shapes.

The guitar tab is three pages long, and played straight through. The only repeats are in the very beginning of the song.

I value ease and simplicity with everything I do. The Truth guitar tab is perfectly spaced to imbue a sense of timing — and make it easy to read.

Enjoy this, the guitar tab is available below:

Truth is played one whole step down. Your tuning is as follows from low to high: D G C F A D:
